Good clean campground, the lake is shallow so lots of debris on the beach that isn’t their fault. We specifically requested a camping spot close to the beach for our 15 year old golden to walk to and lay in the water. They did give us one on the water but with a 3+foot drop that was difficult for us humans to get up and down and impossible for our baby. So LONG walk to water for her to lay in. Bathrooms clean, friendly staff. The campsites are very close together and we were under a street light which made it difficult to sleep. We left a day early.

Tee Pee Campground was named one of the top campgrounds in Michigan by the Trailer Life Directory in 2010, based on its general appeal. The campground sits on Lake Huron and features views of the Mackinac Bridge. The camping resort features 96 sites for RV and tent camping, which have water and electrical connections. Some of the sites are on the shorelines of Lake Huron. The facility also has a beachside playground, a beach-toy rental service, planned beach activities, a game room with air hockey and foosball and a grocery store. The campground offers group bonfires nightly. Attractions near the resort include the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinac City, Fort Michilimackinac, the Garlyn Zoo, the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, the Kewadin Shores Casino and the Cheboygan Opera House.
The word “Michigan” is believed to be derived from an Indian word meaning “large lake,” and four out of the five Great Lakes (Lakes Michigan, Superior, Erie and Huron) touch the state of Michigan. According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Michigan also has more than 11,000 lakes within its borders. Some of the state’s top campgrounds sit on one of the Great Lakes or one of Michigan’s inland lakes.
